Founded in 2016, Conrad Connect is a fast-growing, award-winning IoT project platform for Smart Living. The platform in its current state serves B2C needs, by enabling users to connect different smart devices, apps and services in a single cloud platform and automate complex workflows through projects. After the successful B2C market entry, Conrad Connect now wants to leverage the potential of the platform on B2B field as well. The power of Conrad Connect could be used by businesses to easily set up and manage their IoT projects, and also to help their end customers to benefit from smart solutions and digital services. We are looking for an experienced business development manager who takes the operative lead of our B2B market entry, and manages to establish all relevant concepts, partnerships, developments, processes - right from scratch. 

B2B Business Development Manager (m/f/d)



These tasks are waiting for you:

You have to be an active member of the business development team by developing and establishing the B2B business models and partnerships of Conrad Connect. You are responsible and you will take ownership of all B2B relevant topics. 

  • Analysis of market trends, potential competitors, collection and prioritization of new market/customer requirements and “best practices”
  • Definition of the potential B2B and B2B2x fields and markets where Conrad Connect could generate the highest business value & development of business plans / models for market entries
  • Acquisition of potential business partners, and establishing partnerships by managing negotiations and contracting
  • Initiating, accelerating and supporting B2B related product development and marketing activities from business perspective, both internally and on partner side
  • Internal reporting on the B2B activities and projects and budgeting
  • Attendance, preparation on relevant events / fairs and representation of Conrad Connect

Who we are looking for

  • Completed business or technical studies
  • 5+ years of professional experience in business development with B2B focus, preferably in the area of IoT, cloud services, or platform as a service products.
  • Deep understanding and experience with big data based and platform business models, and generic knowledge of the IoT market players and trends
  • Conceptual technical understanding in the field of IoT, cloud technologies and big data would be a plus
  • Extensive relevant personal B2B network is preferred
  • Dynamic and proactive way of working
  • Analytical, conceptual, process-oriented way of thinking and working and "Out of the box" mentality
  • Ability to deliver, and not just to discuss
  • Very good German and English
