Tips for Applicants

Everything’s digital these days. Please submit your application online using our career gateway.  Sending your application by post or email  will significantly delay our candidate selection process.

Below some tips intended to help you prepare your application. We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Make a good first impression!

Submitting a well-drafted application and a tailored cover letter allows us to get to know you better. So, tell us about your qualifications, skills and experience, preferably in a way that also reflects your personality.

What makes you stand out from the other applicants? Why should we employ you? What makes you the ideal candidate for the advertised position? Help us answer  these questions by detailing your skills and experience in a clear and structured way using consistent formatting, and enclosing all necessary references. If you submit an on-spec application please state the company area you are interested in joining, and tell us why precisely you want to work there.

Besides your CV/resume, we are also looking for a one-page cover letter  that should be both a personal statement, and a motivation letter. Use opening lines that make us want to read on! Also, check your grammar and spelling. Tell us your strengths, and how you would use them to be successful in your role. State why you think you are the ideal candidate for the position. Avoid generic wording and commonplace phrases. Practical examples that evidence your experience and skills are a big plus.  However, keep it concise and to the point, don’t get carried away.

Your CV/resume is the backbone of your application. It should be tailored, list all your qualifications, skills and experience, and clearly indicate how they relate to the position you are applying for. Hence, reusing a CV or a resume you prepared for a previous application might not be the most successful strategy.  Do not go beyond two pages.

Also, make sure that cover letter and CV/resume are consistent  with regard to the information you are providing.

Please also enclose
employer references (Professionals & Management);
graduation certificates, diplomas, term reports, work placement credentials  (Graduates  & Undergraduates);
school reports/report cards of the last 2 year (Students).
